A Man's Greatest Superpower

A Man’s Greatest Superpower

Beautiful people—what’s good?!
Hope you’re doing well and living full.

If you’re connected to a man in any way—husband, father, son, brother, or friend—please share this with them.
EVERY MAN needs to be reminded of his superpower.

Grateful for each of you. Let’s keep building together!

A man is made for sacrifice.
We give up ourselves for the good of others.
We die to ourselves so others can live.
And when this happens in the hearts of men—people are better loved.

Consider the language of Ephesians 5:25–26. Paul uses the sacred picture of marriage to explain a greater mystery: the gospel, shown through the relationship between Christ and the Church. In his charge to husbands, Paul writes:

“...and gave himself for her…”

That phrase—“gave himself”—literally means to hand over, to entrust, to commit his life.
While Paul speaks to husbands, the root of this love is sacrifice.

Biblical wisdom teaches us: the same way Jesus handed over His life on the cross, husbands are called to love their wives.
Now imagine the domino effect of that sacrificial love:

  • A wife flourishes under the consistent love of her husband.
  • Kids grow up loved by a mother who’s strengthened by that love.
  • Those same kids now carry a clear, embodied picture of sacrifice into their world.
  • That family engages culture with love at its core—all because one man chose to sacrifice.

Christ’s sacrificial love saved humanity for eternity.
And a man’s sacrificial love can shape legacies—for generations.

That’s why sacrifice is at the center of the 3 M’s of Masculinity:

MAN – We sacrifice personal pleasure to become strong, healthy men.
MISSION – We give up comfort to live for something bigger than ourselves.
MARRIAGE – We lay down individualism so we can walk in oneness and community.

Yes—we give.
We hand over.
We entrust.
We commit.

We sacrifice our lives…
…so others can live their best lives.

It’s our call.
It’s our superpower.
It’s the “S” on our chest.

Thursday nights are always exciting, full of energy, laughter, and life. The street outside our house? Packed with cars. One night, it got so crazy the police were called. The best part? When the officer arrived, he smiled and said, “I know exactly what’s going on here.” He was right. Inside, it’s wall-to-wall with shoes at the door and teenagers everywhere, over forty of them most weeks. A generation of Jesus-followers gathering for fun, food, and faith. Intro Negativity is exhausting.Everywhere we turn—online, in conversations, even in the church—negativity seems to be the loudest voice in the room. And honestly? I’m tired. But lately, God’s been showing me something deeper: the fight against negativity isn’t about pretending everything’s fine. It’s about choosing to see the good—because God is still working in all things. “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God.” — Romans 8:28 CSB The Exhaustion Is Real...
