Mission Update

What’s Up Beautiful People!

We’re in the middle of the third quarter already — and wow, God has been on the move. Your prayers and support are helping shape lives, families, and communities in ways that only He can. Remember, all of this is the work of God, who started it, and promised to carry this work onto completion. Check out the following highlights of that work.

Families Growing in Faith
In our own home, we’ve seen our kids’ hunger for God’s Word deepen.

  • One spent 3 weeks serving kids in Williams, AZ.
  • Another drives to Tempe every week to grow with other college students following Jesus.
  • Another is learning to submit to God’s guidance in major life decisions.

Parenting reminds us daily: God gives us the input, but the increase belongs to Him.

Marriages Strengthened
We’ve walked closely with couples this year — some thriving, some struggling — and one truth keeps rising to the surface: a marriage without God at the center cannot fully be what He designed it to be.

Our classes on Spirituality in Marriage and Biblical Community in Marriage have helped couples realign their whole relationship to Him, with powerful results.

Youth on Fire for Jesus
What started as 30 teens gathering for food, prayer, and the Word grew to over 65 by summer’s end — with almost 80 people in our home one Thursday night!

These students aren’t just attending; they’re loving Jesus, growing in His Word, staying committed to His church, and sharing the gospel.

God’s Work in Us
While we pour into men and women, God’s been pouring into us — bringing healing from past pain and fresh affirmation for the future. As Jesus said, “Follow Me, and I will make you…” We’re being made even as we lead others to Him. We believe and hope the same for you as you engage God’s mission right where you live, work, and play.

How You Can Help
Every story you’ve just read exists because of God’s grace and your partnership. God’s mission of restoring the world back to its rightful place of beauty and wholeness really is a communal affair. We all play a small part in something greater than all of us combined. Wendy and I have you all to thank for this!

If you want to keep this mission moving forward, you can:

Let’s keep going — the best is yet to come.

Grateful for you,
Dewayne & Wendy Hawkins

What "Daily Bread" Is Really About Friends, In the middle of the holiday season when calendars are full, rhythms are disrupted, and gratitude is both practiced and tested I wanted to take a moment to simply reconnect. Not with an update, but with a reflection. Over the last couple of years, one prayer has quietly shaped our lives more than any other: “Give us this day our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11, CSB) It’s a familiar line. Easy to recite. Harder to live...if we are being honest. A Season...

TRUE TRIBES STRONG GRATITIUDE A DAILY POSTURE FOR THOSE WHO FOLLOW JESUS Every year around this time, our feeds get filled with quotes about being thankful. The air gets a little softer, the conversations get a little warmer, and everybody seems to pause long enough to say, “Man, I’m grateful.” And there’s nothing wrong with that. But if we only tap into gratitude during the holidays, or only when life feels good we miss the depth, the strength, and the weight of what Scripture means when it...

The Meantime What You Do While You Wait Matters There’s this phrase that’s been sitting heavy on my heart lately: “in the meantime.” When you hear it, you might think of the space between events or the gap between appointments, the downtime before what’s next. But I’ve been thinking about the spiritual meantime. You know, that season between where you are and where you want to be. And here’s the thing:Every man lives in a meantime season. Especially young men in their early 20s. Because...
